故事简介：
現代版的灰姑娘故事，一齣校園青春愛情喜劇。
Sam(Hilary duff) 曾經是世界上最幸福的小女孩，然而父親去世後，她的生活便陷入了水深火熱之中。她那超級自戀的繼母Fiona（Jennifer Coolidge）與一對愚蠢的雙胞胎繼妹，成天把她當菲傭使喚。珊曼只希望自己能夠順利進入普林斯頓大學，好早點離開這個沒有溫暖的家。

- Sam: Coward? Phony?
- Austin: Okay, just listen.
